In addition to psychotherapy, I offer writing workshops, with a particular focus on memoir and other forms of creative nonfiction. These forms of life writing provide a rich opportunity for introspection, personal exploration, and the crafting of stories in a way that connects to both the self and others. Writing is not just about the end result—it is a deeply nourishing and therapeutic process that allows individuals to slow down, gather their thoughts, and become more present. It serves as a way of looking at and making sense of one’s life, bringing clarity and calmness to the mind.
The workshops, held both online and in person, welcome small groups of 5-12 participants on a monthly basis, creating an intimate space for individual support, group discussion, and constructive feedback. Through writing exercises, prompts, and techniques, participants can explore their creativity while also benefiting from the therapeutic aspects of writing.
Mentorship and one-on-one guidance are also available for those seeking personalized encouragement and support in their writing practice.
Beyond writing workshops, I facilitate bibliotherapy sessions—an approach that cultivates the reading and discussion of literature for its therapeutic effects, such as fresh perspectives and insights, comfort, and emotional resonance. Texts are either literary, including short fiction and personal essays, or philosophical and psychological in nature , engaging with such subjects as mindfulness, anxiety and depression, and disorders such as OCD and ADHD.
Over the past decade, I have facilitated numerous workshops and group discussions, ranging from those focused on psychogeography and memory at the University of Lisbon to autobiography and auto-fiction workshops in Canada. Past workshops have also explored the connection between writing and attention—how the act of writing helps gather one’s thoughts, enhances mindfulness, and provides a meaningful way to engage with personal experiences.
Starting in 2027 I will be launching a writing residency program where participants can immerse themselves in a creative environment designed to inspire and nurture their writing. This residency will provide an opportunity for writers to focus on their craft, engage in group discussions, and receive personalized feedback.
