Through active, non-judgemental listening and stimulating, thought-provoking enquiry, I guide you to fresh perspectives and greater clarity from which to make healthy choices and decisions.
Drawing from a foundation in Gestalt Psychotherapy, while incorporating a range of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, my work is individualized, based on an understanding of and respect for each person's uniqueness. Recently, I have come to focus particularly on cultivating greater agency by exploring thought patterns and mindsets, offering specific techniques such as mindfulness practices. Influenced by Buddhism, these lead to the development of emotional regulation skills, attitudinal and behavioural change.
My work is grounded in authenticity, trust, and acceptance, and takes place within a confidential, safe space. Therapy can be either short term, over a course of four to eight sessions to focus on a particular issue, or medium or long term to allow for deeper understandings of relationships and repeat patterns.
I provide a number of lower cost therapy spaces for those in financial difficulty.
