Originally from Canada, I have lived and worked in Portugal for over twenty years.
I have a keen interest in literature and well-being and the spaces in which they intersect. This includes the areas of creative writing, psychotherapy and bibliotherapy.
My psychotherapy background includes four years of training and certification from the Gestalt Experiential Training Institute, Vancouver, Canada.
Other psychotherapy training includes: Rogerian Counselling, Crisis Counselling, Primal Integration Therapy, Sandtray Therapy, Couples Therapy (with Joseph Zinker and Sandra Cardosa-Zinker), Gestalt Psychotherapy Workshops at SLEPG (Sociadade Luso-Espanhola de Psicoterapia Gestalt).
I have a Master’s Degree in Comparative Literature (La Sorbonne, Paris) and a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature with a Minor in Psychoanalysis (the University of Toronto). I am currently completing a PhD in English and American Studies (the University of Lisbon).
