About

Originally from Canada, I have lived and worked in Portugal since 2000. During my time here, my practice has expanded from a Gestalt Therapy foundation to a multifaceted approach incorporating cognitive behavioral tools and mindfulness techniques. Aside from my work as a therapist, I've always had a great interest in literature and creative writing, especially life writing and memoir.

I have a particular interest in working with creatives and using a motivational, supportive and nourishing approach towards the creative process. Having worked with artists, musicians and writers has led me to enhance my understanding of the benefits of incorporating different forms of creative practices into daily life as well as how to overcome the challenges with grounded healthy living and wellbeing at its core. My most recent work has been to help cultivate greater agency through understanding thought patterns and mindsets, resulting in greater emotional regulation.
